We have made pottery ornamental teapots at school, and I am in the process of getting them fired. We are going to paint the pots when they are fired. House paint would be far superior to our school paint, so I was hoping that if you have any bright coloured test pots at home that you no longer need that you could send them along to school so we can complete this project. If you could send the paints to school next week would be fantastic. The children were very engaged during the clay making sessions and enjoyed the experience.
As you know, the children have been preparing for their group plays. You should have received an invitation to attend the plays on November 17th at 1:30pm in the school hall. The children have asked for a gold coin donation if you attend so they can plan a class end of year treat. The children have been asked to source or make their costume at home and they need to bring their costumes to school for dress rehearsals this coming Monday 7th November. The costumes don’t need to be elaborate – if they are a pig – just wear a plain t shirt and pants in the same colour – make a curly tail and a cardboard headband with pig ears attached.
