Wacky Hair Quality Work

Wacky Hair Portraits

We drew pictures of ourselves with wacky hair. We needed to make sure we used our Habit of Mind of applying past knowledge to new experiences. We could do this as we had already done cartooning and Modigliani portraits so we were able to put facial features in the correct place, and we knew how to draw in the shoulders, neck and head. The hair was our new learning and this needed to be unique and could also feature patterns. Our portraits are very original!

Cartooning

Rooms 11,15,21 did some cartoon faces with Jane Lloyd. We got given two pieces of paper, a 6B pencil, plus a jumbo magazine to put the paper on. The first piece of paper had circles, but the other one was blank. Jane had a big sheet of paper so most people could see her drawing. We did nine different faces altogether on the circle piece of paper and another two on the blank one. They were all of different emotions. It was amazing to see how different styles you could have for facial features. My favourite was the cartoon of the exhausted guy
